Jon Bon Jovi Celebrates 36 Years of Marriage with Dorothea Hurley
On Tuesday, Jon Bon Jovi paid a heartfelt tribute to his wife, Dorothea Hurley, marking their 36th wedding anniversary. The legendary rock musician took to Instagram to express his love, sharing a striking photo of three dozen roses.
“36 roses for 36 amazing years,” he captioned the post. “Happy anniversary my love….”
Alongside this touching message, Bon Jovi posted a nostalgic photograph of the couple and an image of the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, where they exchanged vows on April 29, 1989.
Reflections on Their Journey
While Bon Jovi and Hurley’s relationship appears idyllic now, it hasn’t always been effortless. In an interview with The Independent just before their anniversary, Bon Jovi candidly acknowledged that he had not always been a “saint” in their marriage.
He elaborated in a subsequent conversation with Michael Strahan, confessing, “I got away with murder” during the early years of their union. Bon Jovi noted, “I’m a rock and roll star… I’m not saying that there weren’t 100 girls in my life. I’m Jon Bon Jovi. It was pretty good.”
Despite his past indiscretions, Bon Jovi emphasized the couple’s commitment to each other through thick and thin. He noted, “But if you think I was ever going to jeopardize… anything for believing the narcissist in me was real? What a stupid thing to do.”
He also acknowledged Hurley’s unwavering support, stating, “She’s never been afraid to call me out on something… She’s also there when I fall. And I’m there for her when she falls. No matter where I went in my career, the ups or the downs, we went there together.”
A Lasting Love
As they celebrate their enduring love, Bon Jovi’s tribute serves as a reminder of the couple’s commitment to navigate life’s challenges together, reinforcing their bond after 36 remarkable years.
