Event Overview

On May 10, 2025, UFC 315 will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, marking the UFC’s return to the city for the first time since 2015. The card will feature Belal Muhammad defending his welterweight championship against rising contender Jack Della Maddalena.

Belal Muhammad’s Title Defense

Belal Muhammad secured the welterweight title in a decisive victory over Leon Edwards at UFC 305. This win not only crowned him champion but also extended his current winning streak to ten fights. Initially, Muhammad was slated to defend his title against Shavkat Rakhmonov, but injuries on both sides have led to Della Maddalena stepping in as the new challenger.

Jack Della Maddalena’s Rise

Jack Della Maddalena has turned his career around after suffering losses in his first two professional bouts. Since then, he has remained unbeaten for 17 consecutive fights, with seven of those wins coming in the UFC, including five by way of stoppage.

Co-Main Event: Women’s Flyweight Title

In the co-main event, Valentina Shevchenko will defend her women’s flyweight title against Manon Fiorot. Shevchenko, who regained her title after a controversial draw and subsequent unanimous decision victory against Alexa Grasso, faces an undefeated opponent in Fiorot, who boasts twelve straight wins, seven of which are in the UFC.

Card Adjustments and Other Fights

Recently, the fight card saw an adjustment with Benoit Saint-Denis finding a new opponent, Kyle Prepolec, after Joel Alvarez withdrew due to an undisclosed injury. Prepolec marks his return to the UFC, having previously fought in 2019.
